Our founding fathers believed that public education was essential for democracy. Despite this, Maryland is under-funding education to the tune of nearly $3 billion, an issue on which 70% of Marylanders agree.

That’s why funding education, and making sure Maryland’s schools and teachers are the best in the nation, is a focus of my campaign. As your senator, I will focus on three major facets of education in Maryland today:

  1. Closing the funding gap in Maryland
  2. Education equity
  3. Universal pre-kindergarten (for all four year olds)
